CARE AND HANDLING OF ANTHURIUMS

For color, longevity and intrigue all year round, anthuriums are one of Hawaii's best floral values. To extend their already long vase life, hold the stems under water and trim 1/2" from the end upon receipt. If the flower shows signs of transit stress, submerge it in entirety in room temperature water for 10 to 15 minutes to maximize rehydration. Use the standard amount of preservative in the vase water. Store flowers at an air temperature above 55 degrees F and away from direct light, heat or drafts. Do not refrigerate. Mist flowers daily.
